Junya Enoki, the voice actor who is famous for playing the role of Yuji Itadori in the popular anime series Jujutsu Kaisen, recently announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus. Atomic Monkey, the affiliated talent management agency of Junya Enoki, recently revealed that the actor was diagnosed with the respiratory virus. The voice actor apparently asked for medical assistance when he started to feel sick sometime before September 1.
Atomic Monkey did not disclose any information regarding the severity of Enoki’s symptoms, but we do know that a PCR test was carried out sometime after the actor started to feel unwell. The results further confirmed that he had tested positive for COVID-19. Atomic Monkey further stated that Enoki will not be working for the foreseeable future so that he can focus on his health and will be looked after by medical professionals while he recovers from the disease.

Enoki’s agency also claimed that the voice actor won’t be attending the two upcoming scheduled events because of his sickness, including the Alice and Therese’s Illusion Factory preview and stage greetings as well as the “Chikahiro Kobayashi Birthday Fan Meeting 2023.” Atomic Monkey also asked for the fans’ understanding and apologized to them, further claiming that they needed to put the health of its actors, customers, and employers before anything else.
What’s next in store for Jujutsu Kaisen?
Junya Enoki also posted on his Twitter account that he was going to take a break after being tested positive and apologized to his fans for not being able to show up to the events. His fans instantly started commenting and wishing him well, showing their support for the voice actor and asking him to take care of himself. They claimed that they were eagerly waiting for him to return to Jujutsu Kaisen and encouraged Enoki to take a break while wishing him a speedy recovery.
Even though Yuji Itadori’s voice actor is taking a short break to recover from his illness, the shonen anime series Jujutsu Kaisen will continue on its schedule. Season 2’s second half is set to feature one of the most highly-anticipated events from mangaka Gege Akutami’s original manga series, the Shibuya Incident arc, in which a huge fight between sorcerers and curses is going to kick off right in the middle of one of Tokyo’s most traditional locations.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is available for fans to stream on Crunchyroll.
