Jujutsu Kaisen is about to make a make a huge comeback as Studio MAPPA is getting ready to release Season 2 starting on July 6, following the success of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie. For those unfamiliar, the shonen anime franchise is based on the manga series by Gege Akutami, and it's considered to be one of the most beloved anime shows in recent years. To celebrate the new anime season, Jujutsu Kaisen has put together a special live-action project that will bring Gojo's world to life.
The official Twitter page of Jujutsu Kaisen shared this update, and as you can see below, the team behind the series took it to social media to let fans know that a special promo is in production in Japan. According to the tweet, the series is working on a live-action TV commercial. The live-action project was created to commemorate the release of 23 volumes of the manga and its milestone of selling over 80 million copies. The live-action video will be broadcast on Wednesday, July 5.
It's likely that the special promo will recreate scenery from Jujutsu Kaisen manga series, so don't expect a major live-action adaptation, but given the popularity of the franchise, it's likely that the shonen series will get the live-action film and or TV series adaptation it deserves in the future.
