There is little doubt that the fight between Jogo and Ryomen Sukuna is one of the first highly anticipated showdowns in the Shibuya Incident arc. So it's no surprise that fans eagerly tuned in for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 16 expecting the Cursed Spirit to give his all. "There’s no way you can fight him. It’s pointless. Do I really have to fight this guy?" Chiba said. "I’m sure Jogo himself deeply feels ‘I can’t win this’ but he has no choice but to fight. Maybe there was a thought like 'What if, just maybe…' with a probability of 1 in 100,000 or 1,000,000. But in the end, it’d be best if we could have an exchange, right?“
In the previous episode of the Shibuya Incident arc, Jogo managed to summon Sukuna by feeding the unconscious Yuji Itadori more of the King of Curses' fingers. When Sukuna awakened, he makes a deal with Jogo: land a blow on him and Sukuna will join their team. Needless to say, Jogo couldn't resist the offer.
Sadly, Chiba might be right about this one because Sukuna defeated Jogo impressively. Still, he did acknowledge that the Cursed Spirit fought well.
