The latest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is finally out and the action is in full swing as Kokichi Muta faces off against Mahito. However, the franchise is already hyping up next week's episode. The new preview and official title for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 have been dropped and it looks like we're getting a rematch!
The anime's official X (formerly Twitter) account dropped the preview for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8. Once again, it features original dialogue written by mangaka Gege Akutami that has nothing to do with the anime. However, the reversed footage confirms that the Cursed Spirit Jogo will be back next week and it looks like he's facing off against Satoru Gojo. (They previously fought in the first season).
It's a brief preview but enough to confirm that the Shibuya Incident arc is finally in full swing next week after one hell of a pre-game fight courtesy of Kokichi Muta and Mahito this Thursday. Needless to say, Episode 8, which is unironically titled Shibuya Incident, is something to look forward to for all fans.
What happened in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 7?
The fight ensues for Muta and Mahito as the former uses a year's worth of Cursed Energy to take on the villain. Unfortunately, his opponent is too strong despite all of Muta's efforts and Ultimate Mechamaru Mode: Absolute's power. Although we don't see Muta's demise, there's a good chance we haven't seen the last of him just yet.
In the second half of the episode, the Curse Users are getting ready to take over Shibuya by dropping a curtain on the area. Although the sorcerers are doing their best to find a remedy, it's clear that only Gojo will be able to save the innocent bystanders with this one.

The third episode of the second cour will be broadcast on Japan's MBS and TBS Networks. For international fans, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 will be exclusively available to stream on Crunchyroll in North America. It will also be available for streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime in Asia.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 is titled Shibuya Incident ("Shibuya Jihen"). The third episode of the Shibuya Incident arc will premiere on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
