The main trio is finally back. Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki return in the first stills from Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6. In addition to that, the premiere of the Shibuya Incident arc will introduce a mysterious new character with an interesting connection to Yuji!
Jujutsu Kaisen's official X (formerly Twitter) account has shared the first images from Episode 6 which is premiering this week. In the stills, we get to see Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara with surprised reactions on their faces (well, maybe not Nobara). Why are they so surprised? It might have something to do with the fourth character who is featured in the post!
So who is this mystery woman? And why is everyone so surprised to see her? The synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 might answer a few questions.
The official Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 synopsis reads as follows:
"In 2018, Itadori, Fushiguro, and Kugisaki finished their mission one day. Itadori tries to go to the movies and Kugisaki tries to go shopping, but Fushiguro looks sideways at them and says, 'You guys are doing well,' and returns alone to Ichiji's car. After leaving Itadori and finishing shopping, Kugisaki is spoken to by a woman. 'Were you with Itadori earlier?' she asks. Kugisaki was surprised by the sudden question, and this woman, who seemed to know Itadori."
It certainly sounds like the mystery girl already knows Yuji but who is she and what does she want in the first place? We won't spoil it for those who are exclusively following the anime. However, it's safe to say that the Shibuya Incident arc will get a lighthearted beginning this week. That's certainly something to look forward to before the weekend.
We already saw the main trio in the final episodes of the first cour but they only appeared briefly to wake Satoru Gojo up. Luckily, they are taking center stage once again for the Shibuya Incident arc. Needless to say, fans can't wait to catch up with Itadori, Fushiguro, and Kugisaki all over again.

The first episode of the second cour will be broadcast in Japan's MBS and TBS Networks. For international fans, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 will be exclusively available to stream on Crunchyroll in North America. It will also be available for streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime in Asia.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 is titled That Is How It Is ("Sou-iu koto"). It will premiere on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
