It's no secret that the second cour of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is one of the most highly anticipated comebacks this month. After all, the anime will finally adapt the Shibuya Incident arc from the Gege Akutami manga. Have you only been watching the anime and don't understand all the hype? The series finally dropped the official synopsis for the latter half of the second season.
Last week, Studio MAPPA and TOHO Animation finally dropped the official trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2's Shibuya Incident arc. The exciting teaser gave fans an idea of what to look forward to when the anime returns this week, and that means action, drama, and more action. Interestingly, the trailer also dropped the official synopsis for the second half of Season 2.
The official Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 synopsis reads as follows:
"The last laugh will be of either a human or a curse. Gojo Satoru will be in the right place at the right time. We need to get every advantage if we're to seal him. We'll proceed on October 31st in Shibuya. In October 2018, tensions are rising within the Jujutsu Technical College long after the Goodwill Event was attacked by special-grade cursed spirits and a spy's identity was finally revealed. Who was the mole and what was their purpose? Starting on October 31st, a curtain is suddenly lowered around the Shibuya station which is busy on Halloween. A large number of civilians are trapped... and the civilians begin asking for Gojo Satoru. In order to minimize damage, higher-ups choose to handle Shibuya by having Gojo work there alone. Geto, Mahito, and other curses set traps and wait while Gojo arrives. Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Nanami, and many others wait out the curtain. An unprecedented battle of curses begins soon after as sorcerers and curses converge in Shibuya."
That gives us a general idea of what will happen by the end of the month. Basically, Gojo continues to be a major target for the Curse Users but just how far are they willing to go to eliminate the sorcerer? That's going to be something to look forward to in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
What happens in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6?
It has already been established that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 will be titled That Is How It Is ("Sou-iu koto") but the premise of the second cour's premiere episode has not yet been revealed. Interestingly, there are speculations that the second season will return with a lighthearted episode focusing on Yuji Itadori's past. If this is the case, it will be the calm before the storm.
Where to watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6
The second season's sixth episode is titled That Is How It Is ("Sou-iu koto"). It will premiere on Thursday, August 31, 2023, and will be broadcast on Japan's MBS and TBS Networks.
For international fans, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 will be exclusively available to stream on Crunchyroll in North America. It will also be available for streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime in Asia.
