It's almost time for the third episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 and the image previews have just been revealed. Not surprisingly, we're seeing a lot of Satoru Gojo once again. However, it also looks like the anime's Episode 3 will also feature the epic showdown between Gojo and Toji Fushiguro.
We already know Toji Fushiguro is known as the "sorcerer killer" and the assassin has already made a deal with the Star Religious Group to kill the Star Plasma Vessel. Despite receiving a hefty deposit for making the kill, Fushiguro has spent the first two episodes of the anime spending that money and not really doing his job. As he explains, he wants other people to weaken Gojo before making his move but it looks like he's ready to finally take on the sorcerer.
The new images from Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 put the focus on Gojo as expected but we also get a few photos of Riko Amanai and at least one of Suguru Geto. The rest is all about Toji Fushiguro who appears to be confronting Gojo with his weapon in hand.
It's an exciting preview of things to come in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3. After all, it confirms that Fushiguro is finally ready to take the seemingly unbeatable Gojo who is confident that he can't be touched. But will he meet his match when Fushiguro finally steps up? We'll find out on Thursday for sure.
In addition to the images, the synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has been revealed and reads as follows:
"Gojo and Geto fight off the sorcerers who are after Amanai's bounty when suddenly her phone starts vibrating. It is there they find Kuroi has been captured. Gojo tries to take Amanai back to their high school, hoping the kidnappers will offer to exchange hostages. However, Amanai dares to go to the trade themself and heads for the designated location with Gojo and Geto."
Riko Amanai has already proven that she isn't just a helpless damsel and even defies Gojo and Geto at every turn. However, she might go too far because of her desire to rescue Kuroi. Let's just hope that her protectors will manage to do their job in the next episode.
The first half of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will follow the Gojo's Past arc of Gege Akutami's manga which has been retitled Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc for the anime. There will only be five episodes for the first cour.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 is titled Hidden Inventory 3 ("Kaigyoku -San-"). It is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
