Ryomen Sukuna has been a popular cosplay subject since the character debuted in the anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen. Although he is commonly cosplayed by men, American rap star Megan Thee Stallion decided to channel the villain. Not surprisingly, the result is truly stunning!
In Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna is known as the King of Curses and it's a well-earned nickname. He is believed to be an Imaginary Demon who became too powerful in the Heian Era, so much so that jujutsu sorcerers struggled to defeat him. In his death, he transformed himself into cursed objects, ultimately reincarnating when Yuji Itadori consumed one of his fingers.
Although he is Jujutsu Kaisen's primary antagonist, Sukuna still gained popularity because of his incredible strength and dark charm. So it's no surprise that Megan Thee Stallion chose to cosplay as the King of Curses in a recent TikTok post.
It's only a glimpse at a truly fantastic Sukuna cosplay and we're hoping Megan Thee Stallion will eventually post photos and a longer video of the full costume.
Megan Thee Stallion is no stranger to anime. The WAP rapper has repeatedly made it clear that she loves everything from My Hero Academia to Black Clover. It's great to see that Megan is also a huge fan of Jujutsu Kaisen and made sure to pay tribute to Gege Akutami's work in her latest cosplay.
We're loving the tribute to Sukuna but the villain is nowhere to be seen in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. The second season of the anime is putting the focus on Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto when they were students at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. However, fans who are missing the baddie can expect to see more of him in the second cour of the anime's current season.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 is titled Hidden Inventory 3 ("Kaigyoku -San-") and is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
