WARNING: The following contains Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 SPOILERS so proceed with caution!
The third episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is finally here and it's an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. Things heated up as Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto increased their protective measures around Riko Amanai. Still, Episode 3 concluded with two shocking deaths nobody expected (unless you read the manga).
Episode 2 was an interesting one as it showcased why Gojo and Geto are considered the stronger sorcerers of their time. We also saw that Toji Fushiguro is smarter than he looks as he manipulated the Time Vessel Association into putting a bounty on Riko Amanai's head to draw out greedy curse users and gradually weaken the girl's protectors. Not surprisingly, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 confirmed that Fushiguro's plan worked and it had devastating consequences.
What Happened in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3?
In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3, Riko Amanai discovers that her guardian Kuroi has been captured. Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto are then forced to devise a plan to save Kuroi without Amanai but she insists on tagging along. The trio then heads for Okinawa where Kuroi was taken, overpower the kidnappers, and decide to spend the day relaxing.
This isn't just an excuse to slack off as it is revealed that Gojo kept his Curse Technique in place and hasn't slept in an effort to protect Amanai until the bounty of the girl is lifted and they return safely to their school. But as soon as they reach Tokyo Jujutsu High School, Toji Fushiguro attacks, stabbing Gojo from behind.

Gojo is confident he can defeat Fushiguro but the assassin is more dangerous than expected, appearing invisible for his absolute lack of cursed energy and his Heavenly Restriction made him physically strong and fast. Fushiguro uses the advantage and repeatedly stabs Gojo with the special grade cursed tool known as the Inverted Spear of Heaven then leaving him for dead.
It's a shocking end for Gojo but he isn't the only one who gets killed by Fushiguro. Just as Amanai admits to Geto that she doesn't want to merge with Master Tengen, Fushiguro shoots her in the head.
These are two jaw-dropping deaths if you have only been following the anime. However, fans of the manga know that there are more surprises in the last two episodes of the first cour.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 is now available on Crunchyroll.
