The latest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is finally here and it didn't waste time in getting the next fights started. However, the Shibuya Incident arc also featured the unexpected return (if you've only been following the anime) of a fan-favorite character who could affect the battle between the sorcerers and Curse Users.
In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 11, Takumi Ino, Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro worked together to dispel the curtains that have been placed over Shibuya. While Yuji and Megumi decide to go after the mysterious Jiro Awasaka, Ino decides to investigate the Shibuya Tower and goes up against Granny Ogami and her grandson. At first it looks like the grandson is merely protecting Ogami from Ino's attacks but it is later revealed that she is reviving Toji Zenin through her grandson's body.
Naturally, Toji is a formidable opponent and Ino realizes this too late as he is repeatedly attacked by the resurrected man. While some are concerned about Ino's fate, most Jujutsu Kaisen fans are just happy to see Toji again after what happened in the first cour of the second season.
Although this is a huge shock for anime-only fans, Toji's return is not a huge surprise for those who have read the manga. With that in mind, viewers should continue watching to find out what happens when Toji encounters his son Megumi in the Shibuya Incident arc.
Who is Toji Zenin?
Although he is referred to as Toji Zenin, the Sorcerer Killer had chosen to take his wife's last name and has since been known as Toji Fushiguro. He is the father of Megumi Fushiguro and was the main antagonist in the first cour of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Unfortunately, Toji was defeated and killed by Gojo as the sorcerer tried to save the Star Plasma Vessel.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 12 is titled Blunt Sword ("Donto"). The next episode of the Shibuya Incident arc will premiere on October 12, 2023.
