Fans recently got to experience the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen all over again. Needless to say, it was the perfect time to drop a new music video for the first season's second closing theme. Not surprisingly, the latest MV has already experienced some success since its release. The JUMP MV for give it back by Cö shu Nie has already reached over 1 million views!
The closing and opening themes for the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen have understandably been huge hits outside of the anime. For instance, the song Lost in Paradise, which served as the closing theme for the first cour, had a fun ending that turned into a meme repeated all over social media. So it's no surprise that fans are loving the re-release of Season 1's second closing theme give it back by Cö shu Nie.
It has been announced by the official Jujutsu Kaisen X (formerly Twitter) account that the new MV for give it back reached a major milestone. The tweet confirms that the music video, which was released by Shonen Jump's official YouTube channel, already has over 1 million views. As of writing, the JUMP MV boasts of 1,108,420 views.
The success isn't a huge surprise considering that the JUMP MV features colorized panels from the Gege Akutami manga. In addition to that, the song is a wonderfully calming track that relaxes viewers after watching an episode of Jujutsu Kaisen. With that in mind, we're expecting another one million views soon.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 was recently screened again in anticipation of the second cour of the second season. It's the perfect way to refresh on the present considering that Season 2's first cour was set in the past and told Satoru Gojo's backstory.
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will return with its second cour and sixth episode titled That Is How It Is ("Sou-iu koto"). It will premiere on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
