After a long hiatus, it looks like the Hunter x Hunter manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi is getting ready for a comeback. Months ago, Togashi stepped away from his shonen series so he can take care of his health, but it looks like the mangaka is back to working on continuing his manga, thanks to an update from Togashi.
Over on X (formerly Twitter), Togashi shared a new update that showed fans a behind-the-scenes look at the mangaka's work. The tweet featured a photo of draft papers for Hunter x Hunter, and Togashi included the following caption: "Star over."
Togashi's latest update should hype up fans of the popular shonen series as they look forward to Gon and Killua's return. After all, it has been months since Hunter x Hunter shared any new updates. At the end of last year, Togashi return to release ten chapters of his manga before going back into hiatus. Now, it looks like he is getting ready to continue Hunter x Hunter, and that means his series could return by early 2024 if things go well.
Hunter x Hunter has frequently gone on extended hiatuses since 2006, and it has gone years without any updates, but Togashi said before that he intends to complete Gon's story despite his personal health issues. Thankfully, his latest update is a good sign that the Hunter x Hunter manga will return soon.
