Hasbro Pulse pulled back the curtain on its 2027 Star Wars figure slate during its October fanstream on October 2, unveiling new Vintage Collection and Black Series reveals headlined by a Lothal Rebels three-pack that goes up for pre-order on October 7.
The Vintage Collection announcements started with new versions of R2-D2 and C-3PO from A New Hope. Only prototypes were shown, but the differences are already visible when compared against current releases: the new C-3PO stands taller, while the new R2-D2 is noticeably narrower. R2 will ship in 2027 Wave 1 with C-3PO following in Wave 2. R2 includes a swappable restraining bolt panel, while C-3PO gets collector-grade deco with Kenner branding and a unique Vintage Collection number. Vac-metal versions of both droids are expected later in 2027, speculated to land as a Star Wars Celebration or San Diego Comic-Con exclusive. Pre-order details are coming soon, with both figures slated for Spring 2027.
The stream's biggest Vintage Collection moment was the Lothal Rebels 3-Pack, described as the first HasLab "halo" product for 2027 in support of The Ghost. The set collects Sabine Wren (Spectre-5, VC425), Ezra Bridger (Spectre-6, VC426), and Kanan Jarrus in Stormtrooper disguise (VC427) as they appeared in season one of Star Wars Rebels. Sabine comes with two blasters, a removable helmet, and a paint sprayer; Ezra packs a removable trooper helmet, backpack, lightsaber, and unlit hilt; Kanan includes a removable trooper helmet, lightsaber, unlit hilt, and blaster. The pack ships in a closed outer box with Kenner branding, with three individual blister cards carrying unique Vintage Collection numbers inside. Pre-orders open October 7 at 1 PM ET on Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other participating retailers, with availability set for Spring 2027.
Hasbro also teased a future figure with a helmet and rifle shown on stream, which speculation pegs as Trapper Wolf — the X-wing pilot played by Dave Filoni — from The Mandalorian.
On the Black Series side, the stream recapped the previously revealed Queen Amidala figure, now shown with the line's new packaging. Hasbro confirmed a new annual structure for the line: the first wave of each year will feature figures drawn from the first six saga films. That kicks off with the 2027 Wave 1 "Saga Launch Wave": Queen Amidala (The Phantom Menace), Anakin Skywalker as a Padawan (Attack of the Clones), a Galactic Marine (Revenge of the Sith), Luke Skywalker as an X-Wing Pilot (A New Hope), IG-88 (The Empire Strikes Back), and Tessek (Return of the Jedi). The wave goes up for pre-order October 15 at 1 PM ET on Hasbro Pulse and other participating retailers, arriving in Spring 2027.
The stream closed its Black Series reveals with "one more thing": a new classic Stormtrooper from A New Hope with extendable joints, letting collectors vary trooper heights the way they appeared on screen in 1977. It will anchor the mainline on a new gold blister card back celebrating the 50th anniversary of Star Wars, while classic Kenner card versions will be available at Target, Walmart, Disney Parks, and the Fan Channel in the rest of the world. Many more figures are expected on the anniversary card backs through 2027. Pre-order details are coming soon ahead of a Spring 2027 release.
Hasbro promised more reveals at New York Comic Con the following weekend, plus a big month for the Retro line in November — so collectors won't have to wait long for the next wave of announcements.
