Netflix is continuously hyping up its new K-drama, Gyeongseong Creature. Right after fans see the monsters and “neohumans” in Sweet Home Season 2, they’re about to witness another fight against a mysterious creature in this dark, period drama. To give viewers more idea about it, its lead stars, Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee, discuss the series in a new meet-the-cast video, which you can see below:
The clip begins with Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee introducing themselves and their characters, Jang Tae-sang and Yoon Chae-ok, respectively, in Gyeongseong Creature. The Marvels star then reveals the show is about portraying the lives of the youths and how they survive the city of Gyeongseong, which is the old name for Seoul.
Alternatively, Han So-hee describes it as a combination of period and creature genres, so they do more visual treats for the viewers. Aside from the relationship that will brew between Tae-sang and Chae-ok, the actress also claims that the lives of the people around them are something that fans should look forward to.
Regarding their collaborative work, Park Seo-joon reveals that Gyeongseong Creature is the first time he and Han So-hee have done a series together despite being K-drama veterans. Despite that, he’s inspired by her as they did a lot of scenes together, bringing out their best chemistry. In addition, now that the series’ release is getting near, the My Name star admits she’s both nervous and thrilled as she invites everyone to watch it.

What is Gyeongseong Creature about?
Gyeongseong Creature will follow the story of the dark times of Spring 1945 in Gyeongseong. Here, two people with opposing personalities will meet to work together and fight a monster born out of human greed.
Jang Tae-sang is the wealthiest man in Gyeongseong and owns the pawnshop Golden Jade House. On the other hand, Yoon Chae-ok is known for being a hunter who can find even dead people. But as she looks for her mom, she travels to Gyeongseong to make a deal with Tae-sang.

Set in the spring of 1945 at the mysterious Ongseong Hospital in Gyeongseong (a former name of Seoul), the suspenseful series follows an entrepreneur and a detective as they fight for survival and face a creature born from human greed.
Gyeongseong Creature will be divided into two parts, with the first part released on December 22, 2023, followed by the second part on January 5, 2024. As this will be the first time Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee will work on a series together, it’s good to see what they can bring.
