Rockstar Games have been working on GTA 6 for quite some time. The company has even admitted to working on the project on social media, which was thanks to a massive leak of the game’s footage. Ever since then, there have been some minor hints about the game’s development progress, but for the most part, it looks like Rockstar games have gotten much more serious about being silent on the topic and preventing any further leaks.

Rockstar Games may not be ready to drop any official updates on the game, but the company doesn’t hold back when it comes to teasing the topic. They have been doing it for the past few months and have done it again in their latest GTA Online announcement.

GTA Online Moon Festival Announcement

For those who are unfamiliar, Rockstar Games frequently celebrates events in GTA Online by giving the community some limited-time items that they can claim by logging into their account. These are also often accompanied by announcements and promotional images or videos on the official Rockstar social media channels.

Earlier today, Rockstar shared an image regarding the “Moon Festival” event and in-game T-shirts. This image showed a male and a female character standing in front of the Vinewood sign with the full moon in the sky. Although this looks like a normal image, there is something funny going on in the background if you pay close attention.

When Rockstar released this image, fans were quick to point out its reference to GTA 6. The way the characters are standing in front of the Vinewood sign obscures most of our vision of it and only leaves the letters “VI” visible. Although this could just be a coincidence, when it comes to Rockstar games, they have a reputation for knowing what they’re doing.

Everything Rockstar Games does or says right now is put under the microscope and over-analyzed by fans in desperation for an update on GTA 6. Whether it be complete leaks of the game’s footage or slight references to it in GTA Online’s promotional material, fans will take anything at this point. Fans are still waiting on an official announcement from Rockstar Games, and we hope they break their silence on the game soon.
