GTA 6 Rumored To Shadow Drop With Australia Giving The Game a 15+ Rating

GTA 6 has easily become one of the most anticipated games of the year, with fans eagerly waiting for an official announcement to come out. However, it looks like Rockstar Games has different plans for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game, and from the latest report, it looks like the plans have taken a drastic turn.

The latest piece of information comes from the official website of the Australian Age Rating Board, which features several listings for GTA 6. There’s a high chance that the website might have been hacked since there’s very little possibility of a mistake being made in this case. This is because people don’t accidentally type in Grand Theft Auto 6 as the game’s name.

However, the game’s age rating is up on the website, which is odd since video games often appear on age-rating websites in mere months, or even weeks, before their official launch. If that’s not odd enough, GTA 6 just received an MA 15+ age rating and not the usual maximum MA 18+. Not only this, but it was also described that the game includes “Strong Sex Scenes” and “Strong Drug Use.”

Regardless of what one might imagine, Australia does have some pretty strict censorship guidelines when it comes to the Western world. Moreover, they recently also began regularly banning any and all video games that might feature drug use, sex, or extreme violence. GTA 6 was probably given to the age rating board on April 2, and you can see the listing here.

A second listing containing the same information was also recently submitted on March 29, along with listings for GTA 6 Online and a GTA 6 beta. This might be a mistake or might be a fake since pretty odd things have happened in the past as compared to a Grand Theft Auto 6 shadow drop.

We aren’t quite sure yet as to when the game will get announced officially or when it’ll get released. However, if it does suddenly release without any prior notice, then we can be grateful to the Australian government for giving us some warning in advance. Let’s just hope Rockstar Games releases some information about the game sometime soon!
