GTA 6 has become one of the most eagerly-awaited games ever since Rockstar Games announced it. While the developers remain tight-lipped about the game, many leaks and rumors have somewhat given players an idea of what might be in store for them. The latest rumor suggests the game might feature single player DLC, and we’re all for it!

Unfortunately, we aren’t sure when the game will be officially revealed, but fans believe it might be in the coming few weeks before Take-Two Interactive’s next earnings call. Previously, Rockstar Games’ parent company shared that they’re expecting a massive increase in their revenue between April 2024 and March 2025, which can only be achieved with GTA 6 getting released in that time.

Take-Two didn’t confirm this rumor but did claim that it has worked on big titles and plans on launching them during this time. For now, we can only get our fix from rumors and leaks until Rockstar Games finally shares some information with us.

Will GTA 6 have a Single Player DLC?

A popular and reliable GTA insider known as Tez2 shared on the GTAForums that the developers are planning multiple expansions for GTA 6. Initially, Rockstar also planned story DLC for Grand Theft Auto 5, which was later scrapped because of GTA Online’s massive success. This time, it looks like the same thing won’t happen with GTA 6 since the developers know what to expect from the game and how fans will receive it. You can read what the insider stated below:

"Rockstar had episodic content, aka SP DLC, planned for V way before release. Plans changed around mid to late 2014. You may have heard of the three episodes they were planning, but there was more too. The point is Rockstar was going with the same plan they had for IV. GTAO booming was unexpected. Now, for VI, it's different. It won't be unexpected. And from what we've heard and what Jason Schreier said, Rockstar is already going with the same plan before. Episodic content with new map updates and expansions. Which would help reduce crunch. So I think we are gonna see SP updates as frequent as online updates. And the first major DLC within a year or two from launch."

Many fans also believe that parts of GTA 6 were deleted during some point in its development in order to help Rockstar Games avoid any difficulties and release the game sooner than expected. However, it seems like all the scrapped content might eventually end up getting added to Grand Theft Auto 6’s single player DLC.

There’s also a high chance of players getting to see brand-new cities and locations, which might keep fans busy with GTA 6 for a long time as GTA 7 might not come out for decades. Moreover, since Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed this rumor, it should not be taken seriously. However, we do hope that they reveal something about the game soon!
