Grand Theft Auto 6 has become quite an anticipated game this year, with its leaks and rumors flying around for the past few months. Now, we have some reason to believe that the game might release sometime in 2024 or early 2025. Take-Two Interactive recently hinted at a possible GTA 6 release window in their latest earnings call, which took place on August 8.
The upcoming Grand Theft Auto game might release sometime during Take-Two’s fiscal year 2025, which ends in March 2025. Take-Two’s financial reports indicate that the company expects a heavy revenue boost during its upcoming fiscal year. During the earnings call, the CEO and chairman of Take-Two Interactive said:
The company’s fiscal year 25 is set to run between April 2024 to March 2025, with many insiders predicting that GTA 6 is expected to release during this timeframe. According to Insider Gaming, Take-Two Interactive is planning to receive $8 billion in Net Bookings in 2024, meaning that compared to the current fiscal year predictions of $5.5 billion, the publisher expects an increase of $2.5 billion in the coming year.
If the company’s predictions are due to the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 game, then that means a release date is also on the horizon. Considering the previous releases of Rockstar Games, the developers might announce GTA 6 sometime around October 2023. After that, the game will most likely release nearly 12 months later.
Unfortunately, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have delayed a couple of games in the past, so there’s no reason to believe they might not delay this one. Hopefully, Rockstar Games finally reveals something related to GTA 6 and give us some real information soon.
