The latest GTA 6 leak might reveal the launch date and announcement plans for the upcoming much-anticipated Rockstar Games title. Currently, the open-world game does not have a release date, and the game hasn’t even been officially revealed to the public. Rockstar confirmed that the game was in development back in February 2022, but the developers have gone silent since then, keeping the players in the dark.
Although Rockstar hasn’t revealed any details regarding Grand Theft Auto 6, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive Strauss Zelnick did tease at a release window. Zelnick has claimed on various occasions that fiscal year 25 is going to be huge for Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two. Even though it’s not a direct confirmation, this did suggest that the upcoming GTA 6 game will release sometime between April 2024 to March 2025.
However, in the meantime, a new GTA 6 leak has surfaced online that could offer some information, considering it’s even true at all. The leak features what seems to be a voice memo of CEO Strauss Zelnick, claiming that Rockstar Games will reveal Grand Theft Auto 6 in October 2023, with the game set to release in October 2024. Unfortunately, there are plenty of reasons to believe that this voice memo is fake or AI-generated.

Many claim that it’s AI-generated because Zelnick pronounces the Roman numeral “VI” as “vee-eye” instead of “six.” Apart from this, it just doesn’t make sense for the CEO to be revealing this kind of information in the way he does in the recording. A lot of players have also been confusing the October 23 and 24 claims, since the audio suggested that GTA 6 will be announced on October 23 with the game releasing on October 24 of this year.
However, regarding the audio being real or not, the intention is that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be announced in October 2023 with the game launching in October 2024. The leaked audio has become a target of copyright strikes and has been removed from many places on the web, but there’s a chance it’s all a trick to make fans believe that the leak is real. Fortunately, GTA fans will find out the truth soon enough because if the leak is real the reveal will take place next month and if the leak is fake, then fans shouldn't expect to see the open-world game anytime soon.
There is also a small possibility that the leak might be fake, but Rockstar Games could still be planning on revealing GTA 6 this October. Lately, many leaks and rumors have been suggesting that a Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal might be happening this coming fall. Unfortunately, these are all leaks and nothing has been officially confirmed or revealed yet, so players should take this information with a grain of salt.
