Secret Invasion has dropped its final episode and it proved something important: G'iah and Sonya Falsworth are two of the most intriguing characters who have been introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So is it possible that we will see more of them in the future? Director Ali Selim has just teased on the possibility of Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman returning in their own spin-off series.
We already knew G'iah as a little girl in Captain Marvel but she returns as an adult in Secret Invasion and this time, the rebellious young Skrull is portrayed by Emilia Clarke. Meanwhile, Sonya Falsworth is an MI6 agent who has a connection to Nick Fury and although we expected the character to be mildly interesting, Olivia Colman's performance in the series elevated Falsworth into staggering degrees of awesomeness.

Although the characters didn't meet until the end, the first encounter between G'iah and Falsworth in Episode 6 teased an intriguing team-up in the future. Not surprisingly, Secret Invasion director Ali Selim also wants to see how the two will work together if they get their own show.
While talking to Deadline, Selim admitted he is eager to continue working in the MCU. He also stated that the collaboration between G'iah and Falsworth is one aspect that deserves its own series.
"I’m open to returning to Marvel. It was a great experience. I believe it’s the pinnacle of storytelling in the industry today. I have a particular fondness for this Sonya/G’iah partnership, but am I the right person to do it? I don’t know," Selim said.
It's great to know that Selim is eager to keep working in the MCU and that he wants Clarke and Falsworth to have a future. After all, they are keeping "love and friendship" out of their relationship and will rely solely on their selfish need to protect their own people. With that in mind, we're hoping Marvel Studios will decide to give the duo the series they deserve.
All six episodes of Secret Invasion are now streaming on Disney+.
