After trying to cast a spell on Rugner, the previous episode ended with Frieren’s life at risk after getting a visit from a demon named Dorato. As the mage warns the young devil that she is strong, will a battle between the two ensue in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 8? The anime has now released the official stills and synopsis for the next episode, hinting at what may happen next.

The anime’s official website has released the new stills for the upcoming Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 8, titled Frieren the Slayer. In the first preview, Dorato can be seen inside Frieren’s cell, seemingly unleashing his power in his finger. The next sees Rugner fighting against the ruler of Graft Granat.

Frieren is then seen wearing a cloak, seemingly hiding while looking at something above. Does this mean she has been freed or she has escaped her cell? There’s also a preview where Stark holds his axe and looks like he’s about to attack in the middle of the night. For the last one, Fern is also carrying her weapon, hinting at a fight that is about to happen.

What will happen in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 8?

The anime has also revealed the official synopsis for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 8. After sensing a demon, Frieren tried to cast a spell on Rugner, but his guards quickly stopped her and dragged her to the ground. She was then captured and imprisoned upon Rugner’s order while the latter tried to make peace with Graft Granat.

Rugner deems Frieren dangerous, and he knows Dorato is about to make her way to confront the ageless sorcerer. As he plans to take Frieren’s life, Fern and Stak rescue her.

Frieren is captured and imprisoned after attempting to cast magic on Rugner and the others who serve the demon Aura, who has offered peace to Count Granato. Rugner considers Freelen dangerous, and Dorato, who is also under Aura's command, aims for Freelen's life. Fern and Stark also take action to save Freelen.
