Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is one of the most highly-anticipated new anime shows premiering this Fall anime season, and today, the production team has officially confirmed that the series will run for two consecutive cours, meaning that new episodes will air from September 2023 until March 2024. Studio Madhouse is in charge of the Frieren's animation, and the anime will be available to stream on Crunchyroll outside of Japan starting on September 29 with a 2-hour special episode.

What is Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End about?
The manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe has been serialized in Shogakukan’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020. It was licensed by Viz Media in English, and they provided the following story description:
Elf mage Frieren and her courageous fellow adventurers have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. With the great struggle over, they all go their separate ways to live a quiet life. But as an elf, Frieren, nearly immortal, will long outlive the rest of her former party. How will she come to terms with the mortality of her friends? How can she find fulfillment in her own life, and can she learn to understand what life means to the humans around her? Frieren begins a new journey to find the answer.
