After Jeon So-nee keeps fans on the edge of their seats in Parasyte: The Grey and Kim Ji-won and Kim Soo-hyun make them cry and fall in love all over again in Queen of Tears, there’s a new K-drama coming to Netflix in May. Led by Go Kyung-pyo and Kang Han-na, these two will make viewers laugh in the romantic comedy Frankly Speaking. The streamer has dropped the series' official trailer, showing how Kyung-pyo instantly caught Han-na’s attention.
You can see the preview below:
The Frankly Speaking trailer begins with Han-na facing a problem as her show, Men on the Run, is on the verge of cancellation. To get her variety show back on its feet again, she tries to invite Kung-pyo to be a part of it after seeing him on TV. “I have a good feeling about him,” she says.
However, as a rising news anchor, Kung-pyo honestly tells her that he prefers to report the truth than hosting a variety show. But as Kung-pyo gets electrocuted, a major turn of events happens: his personality has dramatically changed. True to his preferred work, he’s only speaking the truth after the electric shock incident, to the point that he even tells a man that his feet stink. Kung-pyo himself is confused about what’s happening to him. As he doesn’t know what to do, he goes to a cliff, and Han-na follows to stop him. Kung-pyo suddenly falls, with Han-na following behind.
Netflix also drops a key visual for Frankly Speaking. It shows Kung-pyo sitting on an office chair, his hair scruffy, while Han-na pulls on his necktie.
