Fortnite's Treasure Hunters mini-season is now live with update v43.00, and Epic Games has published the full update notes breaking down everything that changed when the servers came back this morning. The update retires the Override island in favor of Crossbones Isle, and some of Battle Royale's most familiar systems have been reworked for the pirate-themed season.
Crossbones Isle is built for 80-player matches, with cannons that launch players across the island. Epic Games names 11 locations on the new island, including The $.$. Rocky, Lantern Lanes, Baratie Bay, Windmill Village, Loguetown, Arlong Park, Crew's Cove, Plunder Port, Fort Fortuna, Rubber Resort and Captain's Cenote.

Eleven new weapons and items headline the loot pool, led by the One Piece powers. The Gum-Gum Fruit turns players into Luffy with long-range rubber punches and charge-up flight, while the Flame-Flame Fruit turns them into Ace. Zoro's Three Sword Style, Usopp's Slingshot and Nami's Tangerine round out the crossover gear, alongside the Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle, the Gilded Dragoon Shotgun, A$AP Rocky's Shock Rocket, the Explosive Cannon Ball and Meat on a Stick.
The season's biggest shake-up is economic. Gold Bars have been vaulted, Follower services are now free, and Vending Machines have been removed from Battle Royale. Pocket-O-Matics remain available in Zero Build, offering the Shockwave Grenade, Port-A-Bunker and Shield Bubble Jr., and chests now refill over time.
Sprites also get a new hunt. Wanted Posters found around the island turn into a Sprite Treasure Map that leads to a buried Sprite Chest, and 11 new Sprites join the collection, including Halfpeel'd, Barry O'Fish and Lil' Flacko. Fortune and Cursed variants return, a Gold Sprite arrives on November 12, and mastering 40 Sprites earns the Navigator's Nosedive Umbrella.
A new Ranked season begins in Battle Royale with pirate-flavored rewards at every tier, from the AHOY! Emoticon at Gold to the Double-Duty Duelist Pickaxe at Unreal. Competitive players also get two One Piece cups this month, the Zoro Cup on November 6 and the Buggy Cup on November 13.
Captain's Days bring a new arrival every week, starting with A$AP Rocky today, followed by Lil Uzi Vert on November 7, Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto on November 14 and Oscar on November 21. Treasure Hunters runs until December 4, and Epic Games has told players to keep Saturday, December 5 open for the Chapter 7 end event.
