Lately, several Fortnite leakers/dataminers have been revealing information regarding a supposed Fortnite x TMNT crossover that Epic Games might introduce soon. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is well underway, featuring the Vampire Kado Thorne, who has taken over the Island, draining it of its treasures and wealth. In this heist-themed season, players are required to steal goods from the vampire’s properties to return whatever he has stolen from the Island.
With the season progressing well, there have been many fans who have inquired about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming to Fortnite. Sam, a reputable Fortnite leaker, shared that a file with the codename “FungusNinja” has been found, which might mean “MutantNinja.” This indicates that a TMNT crossover might be coming up soon in the battle royale game.
Many other leakers have also suggested that a Fortnite x TMNT collaboration might be on the way, such as Shiina and @Shpeshal_Nick, who mentioned last year that Paramount had signed a deal with Epic Games. This deal would allow them to bring their properties to Fortnite, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
However, this isn’t the only evidence Sam found regarding the Fortnite x TMNT collaboration. They shared that a sewer location was discovered on the Chapter 4 map a couple of seasons ago, which would make strange noises when players came near it. In the same area, a pizza shop has also shown up, consisting of an arcade machine inside. They also shared that the Fortnite x TMNT crossover file is only 7 MB, meaning it might feature one skin with multiple edit styles.
If the leak turns out to be true, then only one TMNT cosmetic item will be available for players to customize in order to become all four of the Heroes in a Half Shell. Another Fortnite leaker known as iFireMonkey confirmed that a “FungusNinja” file exists and that it’s going to be only 7 MB, just as Sam claims. According to Sam, the Fall Guys x TMNT collaboration will soon end, and the game Fall Guys was actually developed by an Epic Games-owned studio called Mediatonic. Since the two collaborated so recently, another crossover in another game might end up happening.
With TMNT leaving Fall Guys on August 31, the four ninja turtles might just end up appearing in Fortnite sometime in September. For now, all we can do is wait and see if the leaks actually end up coming true. It’s important to note that these are just leaks, and nothing has been officially confirmed yet by Epic Games. But how cool would it be to see the half-shelled heroes jumping from the Battle Bus and joining the Fortnite action?
