Fortnite is all set to introduce the dangerous Shield Breaker grenade in Season 4, and players are absolutely thrilled about it. The item was featured in the trailer for Season 4 as well as in promotional materials, but Epic Games hasn’t released it so far. Don’t worry, though, for this is soon going to change since the item is going to come into the game with the v26.10 update, the latest season’s first massive update.
Epic Games has introduced plenty of new content and items in Season 4, some of which have already been released, whereas many of them will be released gradually as the season progresses. Fortnite leakers recently discovered some exciting information about the Shield Breaker grenade, and we can’t wait to see it arrive in-game.
Shield Breaker is among some of the handful of items that were leaked before the release of Season 4. Initially, plenty of players believed that the weapon would be used when a player needed to disable their enemy’s shield, but as it turns out, that’s not how it’s going to work. From the leaked video, you can see what the Fortnite item is going to look like.
According to the leak, the grenade is set to release on September 5, Tuesday, considering the fact that Epic Games launches a lot of Fortnite updates on Tuesdays. So, there is a high chance the above-mentioned date will be the release date of the v26.10 update. From what we can see, Shield Breaker is quite effective against both Business Turrets as well as cars. Following is a list of all the items that the grenade can easily disable.
Cameras
Defense turrets
Hot Spot Drones
Laser grids
Shield Bubbles
Vending machines
However, Shield Bubble isn’t currently in Fortnite, but there is a chance the developers might end up unvaulting them in Season 4. What would be more interesting is seeing the Shield Bubble permanently disable the vending machines. Unfortunately, these are just leaks and should be taken with a grain of salt, but one can always hope! So, let’s see if the grenade ends up getting added or not!
