Today, the company has announced that Bethesda's post-apocalyptic RPG franchise, Fallout, is heading to the multi-platform battle royale game. Thanks to the hit Amazon TV series and the continued improvement of Fallout 76, Fallout recently saw a massive resurgence.
In an X post shared on May 17, the announcement of the Fallout crossover with Fortnite was made via a single image and a few emojis. Not much details have been revealed about this exciting crossover at this time, but it looks like Fortnite players will bee able to explore at least one Fallout-inspired location on the battle royale's map. It appears that the franchise's iconic power armor will also be added to the game, likely as a premium cosmetic item. The caption with the photo only shows a winking emoji and a thumb's up emoji, but the company didn't share additional hints about what the crossover will bring.

Epic Games hasn't officially confirmed a release date for the highly-anticipated Fortnite x Fallout crossover, but it's most likely happening alongside Chapter 5 Season 3, which begins on May 24. At least, that's what credible leakers such as Hypex are saying on X. After all, the compan will want to continue ramping up the hype for the launch of the next season, and teasing big properties is one of the most exciting ways to do that.
