Fortnite is halfway through its Season OG event, which took players on a nostalgic ride to older versions of the game’s map and allowed them to relive some of their best moments. With the season’s end quickly approaching, fans are busy looking for what might come next in the battle royale game. Although not much is known about the next Chapter of Fortnite, we do know some details about what’s next.
One key detail that most players are already aware of is The Big Bang event, which Epic Games has also directly referenced. While we know it’s set to feature a performance from an in-game version of the popular rapper Eminem, the developers have also officially announced its release date and what players can expect from it once it arrives.
Epic Games officially announced the Fortnite Big Bang event last week with a couple of teasers, one of which is a short clip of a rocket going off into space. Unfortunately, the devs haven’t revealed all of the information about the event, but there are some things that we do know. Of course, the one thing that has been confirmed is that the Eminem collaboration is going to be a huge part of it, which was recently leaked and then officially confirmed by Epic Games.
That said, there’s also the frequently-rumored Fortnite x Lego crossover that players have been looking forward to for the longest time. Many players believe that the rocket in the clip shared by the developers might open a whole new multiverse for Fortnite, making way for a storyline expansion to take place that would explain the arrival of the popular blocks into the battle royale game.
Unfortunately, since that hasn’t been officially confirmed yet by Epic Games, you’ll want to take it with a grain of salt. However, the event is only a few more days away, so hopefully, we’ll finally learn some more details about what’ll be featured in the Big Bang event.
How can players join Fortnite’s Big Bang event?
The Big Bang event will officially kick off in Fortnite on December 2 at 2 PM ET, with the downtime before the event to start at 11:30 PM ET, so make your plans accordingly! Players also get to jump into Discover 30 minutes before the event begins if they plan on getting their outfits sorted in advance. Moreover, you can also hop in the event with some of your pals since the Big Bang event supports parties of up to four players.
Not only this but if you attend the event, you’ll also get The Big Bang Loading Screen to utilize when you want to. Since Eminem is the star of the show, players can buy three related outfits starting November 29. Furthermore, those who already possess the Marshall Never More outfit will get the Marshall Magma style for the outfit simply for attending the event.
