One rumored cast member of Marvel Studios' upcoming Fantastic Four movie for the MCU's Phase 6 has now shared a response to months of fan theories and speculation. Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, teased a Fantastic Four reboot for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2019, shortly after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, with the deal reverting Fantastic Four and X-Men movie rights to Marvel Studios. Fans have been speculating who will play the four leads of the upcoming reboot: Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards), Invisible Woman (Sue Storm), Human Torch (Johnny Storm), and Thing (Ben Grimm).

According to a recent rumor, the main cast of the Fantastic Four reboot are essentially locked, and Marvel Studios is expected to make an official announcement soon. Among the rumored names is The Bear actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who's reportedly cast to play Ben Grimm, a.k.a. Thing. Speaking to TheWrap, Moss-Bachrach - the actor who won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at that evening’s ceremony - was asked about the rumors that he may be playing Thing. Unfortunately for fans hoping for a clear answer, Moss-Bachrach would rather keep them guessing, saying, "Oh, I can't confirm, and I can't deny, I think."

While the actor didn't officially confirm if he's playing Ben Grimm, he didn't outright deny the rumors. If Moss-Bachrach does get cast as Thing, it would mean that he's been cast for two MCU roles. The 46-year-old actor previously portrayed David "Micro" Lieberman in Marvel's The Punisher, which previously streamed at Netflix. Recently, Marvel Studios just confirmed that the Marvel TV shows that originally premiered on Netflix, including The Punisher, will be part of the MCU.

Who else is rumored to be in the cast of MCU's Fantastic Four reboot?

Besides Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, insiders claimed that the other three members of the superhero team: Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, and Johnny Storm will be played by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Joseph Quinn, respectively, in the MCU.

As for the villain roles, Mads Mikkelsen has reportedly been approached to play Doctor Doom while Javier Bardem was rumored to play Galactus. In 2016's Doctor Strange, Mikkelsen previously played the villain Kaecilius, but it's possible that he could play another role as Marvel has cast the same actor in multiple roles before, including Gemma Chan, who played Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel (2019) and Sersi in Eternals (2021).
