
The official YouTube channel of publisher Aniplex has released a new character trailer for the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2, highlighting Genya Shinazugawa, a major supporting character in the popular anime series based on the dark fantasy adventure manga by Koyaharu Gotouge. Genya is also known as the younger brother of the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is being developed by CyberConnect2, the same developer as the first The Hinokami Chronicles game and a company closely affiliated with Bandai Namco Entertainment. Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) in North America and Europe on August 5. The game will be released on August 1 in Japan. The first The Hinokami Chronicles game was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in October 2021, and on Nintendo Switch in June 2022.
As for the popular anime adaptation, studio Ufotable is getting ready to release the first film of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc movie trilogy globally starting this August. You can check the international theatrical release dates here. The film will be released both in Japanese with English subtitles and an official English dub. There will also be screenings in IMAX and other premium large formats.
What is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle about?
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle film trilogy will adapt the first of the two parts of the Final Battle arc of the popular manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge, which was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, publishing a total of 23 volumes. Viz Media licensed the manga series in English. After the Infinity Castle Arc, we can expect an anime adaptation of the Sunrise Countdown arc which should mark the conclusion of the series.

Tanjiro Kamado – a boy who joined an organization dedicated to hunting down demons called the Demon Slayer Corps after his younger sister Nezuko was turned into a demon. While growing stronger and deepening his friendships and bonds with fellow corps members, Tanjiro has battled many demons with his comrades – Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. Along the way, his journey has led him to fight alongside the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira, including Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku aboard the Mugen Train, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui within the Entertainment District, as well as Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji at the Swordsmith Village. As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engaged in a group strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji. The destination of where Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle. And so, the battleground is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons ignites.
Screenings for the first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movie are set on September 12, 2025 in United States and Canada.
