Meanwhile, in time for the announcement of Demon Slayer Season 4’s extended final two episodes, the anime has released a new trailer for Demon Slayer Season 4. The trailer begins with Tanjiro’s training with Uzui and his swordsmanship practice with Tokito. Tanjiro is then seen unleashing his great strength and power as he tries to push a huge boulder to complete his training with Himejima. The next scene features Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka showing his water-breathing skills and Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho unveiling her insect-breathing swordsmanship style.

It also shows Shinazugawa showing off his immense speed and reflexes while Himejima wields his hand axe with a spiked flail attached to the hit through a long chain. Tokito briefly appears, and Kanroji unsheathes her whip-like Nichirin sword. A quick glimpse of Muzan is revealed, sitting in the middle of his Infinity Castle. In the last scene, Tanjiro appears as he wields his sword with all his might while surrounded by fire.

The anime is based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga of the same title, which ran from February 2016 to May 2020. It has collected 23 tankobon volumes and has over 150 million copies sold worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series ever. Viz Media has licensed the manga in English.

Ufotable produced its anime adaptation, with the first season released in 2019, the second in October 2021, and the third in April 2023. Each of the anime’s seasons comes with sequel and compilation films titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—The Movie: Mugen Train, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—To the Swordsmith Village, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—To the Hashira Training.
