The Hashira training, which is the current arc of Demon Slayer Season 4, will finally begin. Tanjiro convinced Giyu to join the training after receiving a letter from Ubuyashiki to talk to the Water Hashira. But Giyu isn’t the only one who will participate. The preview for Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 3, titled Fully Recovered Tanjiro Joins the Hashira Training, shows Tanjiro joining the training with the former Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui.

Just like for the previous episode, the anime only released one still for Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 3. However, though it didn’t give anything away, the return of Uzui is enough to excite fans. The still shows the former member of the Demon Slayer Corps back to train the Hashiras as they prepare for Muzan’s attack now that he has learned that Nezuko can survive in the sun despite being a demon.

After his battle against Daki and Gyutaro in the previous season and losing his left hand and eye, Uzui retired from his post as the Sound Hashira. He chose to live peacefully with his three wives, Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru. However, he returned to Hashira Training Arc to monitor and lend some help with some basic stamina training.

What happened in Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 2?

Warning: Spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk.

Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 2, Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka’s Pain, showed Tamayo accepting Ubuyashiki’s offer to move to the Demon Slayer Corps and help Kocho investigate Nezuko’s case. The focus then shifted to Giyu. Ubuyashiki asked Tanjiro to convince Giyu to participate in the Hashira training.

Tanjiro followed Giyu wherever he went until he finally revealed why he refused to join the practice. The previous episode revealed Giyu’s backstory, unveiling that Sabito’s death and sacrifice to save him and others during the Final Selection made him feel guilty. Tanjiro’s words of encouragement helped Giyu change his mind and eventually agreed to join the training.

The scene then moved to Kanao and the Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho talking about the demon who killed Kanae, the latter’s sister. But the episode ended when Shinobu was just about to reveal how to kill the demon.
