Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 19 Preview Shows Rudy & Elinalise's Journey to The Labyrinth City

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 is set to return after a one-week break this Sunday, kicking off the exciting Labyrinth Arc of Rifujin na Maganote's isekai fantasy light novel series. In the previous episode, Rudeus received a letter from Geese, requesting for help to rescue his mother, Zenith Greyrat, and after Norn tries to leave after her brother decided not to go, Rudy changes his mind, and decides to leave behind his pregnant wife, Sylphiette.

The official website of the anime has revealed preview stills and a synopsis for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 19, titled Desert Journey, and it shows Rudy's farewell to Sylphy and his two little sister, Aisha and Norn Greyrat before he embarks on his journey to the Labyrinth City of Rapan in the Begaritt continent. The preview stills reveal that Rudy is not adventuring on his own as Elinalise Dragonroad, a former member of Paul's party and Sylphiette's grandmother, is joining his travels.

One of the stills show Rudy and Elinalise in a desert region, and it looks like the two adventurers are back in action as they encounter and battle a giant scorpion. Another image shows them camping at night, and it looks like Elinalise is teasing Rudy, but knowing that he's married with a pregnant wife at home, it looks like he's going to have a hard time controlling himself.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 19 is scheduled to premiere this Sunday, May 26. Studio Bind is once again producing the animation for the new episodes. The official synopsis of the nineteenth episode of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 reads:

Rudeus received a letter from Geese saying “Zenith’s rescue difficult, send help”. He has to leave behind a pregnant Sylphy, Norn, and Aisha. Despite his worries, he decides to go to the Labyrinth City of Rapan on the Begaritt continent. However, the road ahead is more difficult and life-threatening than he had imagined.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 is directed by Ryousuke Shibuya (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World), marking the second directional change for the anime series (The first season was directed by Onimai‘s Shingo Fujii, and Season 1 assistant director Hiroki Hirano directed Season 2 Part 1). As for the returning staff: Toshiya Oono is the series composer once again while Yoshiko Saitou (Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible) and Sanae Shimada are the character designers. The art director is Masakazu Miyake, and the music composer is Yoshiaki Fujisawa.

What is Labyrinth Arc of Mushoku Tensei about?

The Labyrinth Arc (迷宮編 Meikyū-hen) is expected to adapt the final chapters of Volume 11 and probably the entire Volume 12 of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation light novel series written Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. Seven Seas Entertainment shared an official synopsis for Vol. 12:

Rudeus and Paul must descend into the deadly depths of a Teleportation Labyrinth to rescue Zenith. The father-son duo makes short work of deadly beasts and ancient magical traps, but it's the terrible truth at the Labyrinth's heart that proves the greatest threat of all. What happens when all hope is shattered beyond recall?

Where to Watch Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 19

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 19 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu in the U.S, and as mentioned earlier, the anime will be taking a break next week, so expect it to premiere on Sunday, May 26. The newest anime episodes of Season 2 will air every Sunday, and the second season is confirmed to have a total of 25 episodes (in 2 cours), so we can expect 7 more new episodes.
