Two weeks before Deadpool & Wolverine finally hits theaters, Marvel Studios continuously hypes up Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Wade Wilson’s (Ryan Reynolds) first adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Entertainment has released a new teaser for the threequel featuring the titular characters sharing funny banter alongside Dogpool (Peggy) and promising to “give people what they came for.”

You can watch the new Deadpool & Wolverine teaser below:

The new Deadpool & Wolverine preview starts with Wade aiming to team up with Logan while Toni Basil’s 1980s hit Mickey plays in the background. However, although he looks a hundred percent ready to work with the adamantium-clawed superhero, the latter proves his no-nonsense behavior when he asks Wade why he would go with him. True to Wade’s comical style, he makes fun of Wolverine’s reaction, comparing it to breaking his heart.

“I can tell you have a sort of ‘Don’t get too close, I’ll only break your heart’ vibe going here,” Wade says.

The scene shifts to Wade getting ready for his new mission with the Time Variance Authority (TVA). It then changes to the sequence in the Void as the villains arrive, with Wade readying to “give people what they came for.” Dogpool is seen running on the field and licking an unmasked Deadpool, who licks the pup back.

The teaser strategically changes to the celebration of Wade’s birthday, with him apologizing to Yukio (Shioli Kutsuna) for what she has seen. Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin) appears, calling the boys “so silly.” Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) and Deadpool laugh together at the TVA office. At the diner, Deadpool reveals to Wolverine that he wears a toupee in his civilian life that nobody knows about. In the next scene, Wade staples the wig on his head as he rides a car with a family.

“Everybody knows,” Wolverine teases Deadpool while laughing.

Deadpool & Wolverine to Tell a Story of Friendship

During the global promotional tour for Deadpool & Wolverine in London on Thursday (via Reuters), Reynolds revealed that the threequel would tell a story of friendship, mirroring his real-life bromance with Jackman. For him, friendship is yet another “version of a love story” that he, Jackman, and the titular characters share, leaving fans to wonder whether their banter is real or just for the reel.

“There's so many moments in the movie where it's hard to tell if Deadpool's talking to Wolverine, Wolverine talking to Deadpool, or it's Hugh and Ryan talking to each other. And I'm really proud of those moments,” he said.

Jackman added that the threequel would feature a dynamic unlike any other. Though he admitted that he didn’t expect reprising his iconic superhero role to be hard at 55, he said it was “absolutely worth it.”

“I have loved every second,” he continued.
