Regal Cinemas has joined the Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket craze. After Ryan Reynolds unveiled the official popcorn bucket for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Regal shared a video teasing its own drink and popcorn collectible bucket. Like the film’s official popcorn bucket, which features Wolverine’s head, Regal’s tub is said to be modeled after a mysterious character yet to be revealed.
In a post on X, Regal talked about its Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket. In the caption, it called out Reynolds after showing his popcorn bucket on Thursday. However, the company teased that it would make the actor wait before fully unveiling its tub. It even used the hashtag war of the popcorn buckets and asked its followers to tweet at Reynolds to see the full video.
In the clip, a narrator proudly introduces Regal’s first-ever combination drink and popcorn collectible container while showing a mysterious white chair with an opening at the back filled with smoking-hot popcorn. But as the narrator reveals that it features a character from Deadpool & Wolverine while the chair slowly turns to face the viewers, the video is cut by a Time Variance Authority warning.
“Signal interrupted to prevent Multiverse spoilers,” it reads.
As expected, a lot of fans tagged Reynolds on Regal’s post. One fan even asked that actor to please reveal who’s the mysterious character Regal’s popcorn bucket features. Considering the video uses a chair in its video, another fan assumes that it’s the X-Men leader Professor X.
Alright, @vancityreynolds. You showed us yours but we're gonna make you wait to see ours. #warofthepopcornbuckets #DeadpoolAndWolverine❤️💛

Will Professor X appear in Deadpool & Wolverine?
Fans expect to see a number of surprising cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine. One fan strongly believes that they see Professor X in the movie’s cameo-packed trailer. In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, X user @Cryptick4KQual shares Emma Corrin's Cassandra Nova’s scene where she emerges from a giant Ant-Man’s skull. However, it looks like she’s not the only character in that sequence.
In the close-up shot, something seems to hide behind Cassandra’s back. By the looks of it, she’s walking in front of a wheelchair that can be seen in the shadows. Of course, everybody knows who’s sitting in a wheelchair, and it’s none other than her twin brother, Charles Xavier, aka Professor X.

However, fans should take this assumption with a grain of salt, as nothing is confirmed yet. Professor X is among the rumored cameos fans expect to see in the movie. So, until the film finally releases, these are just mere assumptions.
Deadpool & Wolverine is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
