Deadpool 3 is officially in production and the first photos of Ryan Reynolds' return as the Merc with a Mouth have surfaced on the internet. Not surprisingly, the images confirm that the Six Underground actor is strapping on the trademark red suit for the highly anticipated sequel.

Fans have long been anticipating the third Deadpool film which was confirmed to move forward after 20th Century Fox was acquired by Disney. It was even confirmed that Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 but there were no updates on the movie's production start date or release date.

Interestingly, it looks like Deadpool 3 is finally getting ready for principal photography. The Daily Mail has shared images taken from the set of the upcoming film and they feature Ryan Reynolds wearing Wade Wilson's red suit. Most of the photos show the actor without his mask while others feature him all suited up with his face covered.

It's great to see that Ryan Reynolds is still in shape and more than ready to return as the Merc with a Mouth. For now, there are no official photos for Deadpool 3 but there is a good chance there will be new updates in the next few weeks.

Deadpool 3 will also bring back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine although the Australian actor had previously announced his retirement from the role. Both Jackman and Reynolds confirmed the news in a special video where they joked about Deadpool and Logan's relationship. Not surprisingly, fans were immediately hyped for the reunion between the X-Men Origins: Wolverine actors.

For now, Deadpool 3 has not yet been given an official release date. However, if the film is currently in production, it is possible that Disney and Marvel Studios will announce the sequel's premiere date in the next few weeks.
