Netflix has released a new official trailer and a new main poster for the upcoming Korean romantic comedy Take Charge of My Heart. Chae Soo-bin and Kim Young-kwang headline the series as a drama writer and a chaebol heir whose lives collide over a failing artificial heart. The title arrives on the streamer in October.
Based on the web novel of the same title, Take Charge of My Heart is an electrifying romantic comedy about a man whose artificial heart is running out of battery and a woman with the unique power to recharge him. Cool and collected Baek Ho-rang (Kim Young-kwang) crosses paths with lovely Na Bo-bae (Chae Soo-bin), whose daily life has been a nightmare because of her electrical powers, and she immediately notices that he is immune to electricity. She approaches him while clinging to his side and asks, “Didn’t you feel anything? Like a tingle or a spark?”, yet Baek Ho-rang only shows signs of embarrassment as the first of their unpredictable episodes begins.
The situation soon reverses, and Na Bo-bae, with her electrical abilities, becomes essential to Baek Ho-rang once his artificial heart has run out of power. He discovers that his heart battery charges faster the closer he is to Na Bo-bae, and to secure his succession to the TS Group he proposes that they live together for the sake of charging, pleading with her to “just save me for three months.” Na Bo-bae, whose own romance had been “discharged,” accepts the proposal in order to fulfill her “romance bucket list” for completing a drama script, and their “charging contract” is formed.
The trailer then complicates that pact when top star Ji Eun-ho (Cha Woo-min), Na Bo-bae’s number one fan, steps into the relationship and turns it into a love triangle. TS Group’s troublemaker Choi Do-yoon (Jung Jae-kwang) and strategist Han Seol-hee (Shin Do-hyun) also join the fray, adding tension around the succession fight. The official trailer frames the same setup in motion, introducing a corporate heir with an artificial heart who meets a woman who conducts real current and then agrees to a deal that could spark his battery and something between them.

Take Charge of My Heart will premiere on Netflix on October 9. The series is scheduled to stream exclusively on the platform as a Korean original romantic comedy, giving viewers the full run of the charging contract, the succession battle at TS Group, and the love triangle that forms once the deal is in place.
