After the success of the smash-hit Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Park Eun-Bin is back in another Netflix K-drama, Castaway Diva. But this time, she will be playing an aspiring singer who will pursue her dream after being stuck on an island for 15 years. To give a glimpse of this story, the streamer drops a new trailer featuring Eun-Bin finally fulfilling her dream by conquering the stage.
It was confirmed in July that Eun-Bin would lead the new Netflix K-drama Castaway Diva. And just like other successful Korean content in the service, it’s posed to great success with director Oh Choong-Hwan and screenwriter Park Hye-Ryun at the helm. The series will be their third collaboration following the hits While You Were Sleeping in 2017 and Start-Up in 2020.
In the new trailer, Eun Bin can be seen reading a letter after being stranded on a remote island for years. As a montage of scenes begins, she introduces herself as Seo Mok-Ha, whose dream is to sing onstage with her idol, Kim Hyo-Jin. As she returns to the city and reenters society, she starts to enjoy life and works hard to fulfill that dream.
She undergoes a makeover, comes with Hyo-Jin, stands under the water with her guitar floating in front of her, and seems to write a song to be the singer she wants to be. As the day she has waited for so long has come, she finally sings on the stage in front of many. “I’ll make this miracle happen,” she says.
What is Castaway Diva about?
Castaway Diva follows the story of Seo Mok-Ha, who has always dreamed of being a diva. As she takes her first step to achieve this goal, she goes to Seoul for an audition after winning a UCC competition. But a major twist of fate happens as she gets stranded on a deserted island after an unfortunate accident. Finally, she is able to return to the city after 15 years.
