After a long wait, Netflix has finally revealed the official release schedules of Bridgerton Season 3. But compared to the previous two seasons, this one will be different. The streamer has decided to divide the third season into two parts, with the first part releasing on May 16, 2024, and the second part on June 13, 2024.
Netflix announced Bridgerton Season 3’s official release dates in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, December 12, with a teaser that comes with fans’ comments and, of course, the series’ stars talking about the series’ delay. As Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh) announces she has news, Lady Whistledown (Julie Andrews) starts to speak up.
“Gentle reader, you thought I was silenced, but you thought wrong,” she says. From there, the preview reveals the much-awaited premiere dates.
Talking about the new season, Jonathan Bailey, who plays the role of Anthony Bridgerton, told E! News that it would be “tantalizing.” This time, his on-screen brother, Colin (Luke Newton), and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) will be the focus of the series based on Julia Quinn's book series. That said, Bailey added that it would be good and great as Colin would bring the heat with Nicola.
What is Bridgerton Season 3 about?

Bridgerton Season 3 will follow the love story of Penelope and Colin, who happens to be her longtime crush. After the previous season’s Featherington Ball, Penelope felt heartbroken after overhearing Colin telling his friends that he would never court her. Add to that her fall out with her best friend, Eloise, and Penelope felt everyone was against her.
Hence, as the new season begins, she will be ready to give up her crush on Colin and decide to take a husband who will give her the freedom to live her double life as Lady Whistledown. However, her attempts will fail. Timely, Colin returns but finds Penelope giving him the cold shoulder.
So, to win their friendship back, he offers to help her gain the confidence to find a husband. But as this brings them closer again, Colin will be confused if his feelings for Penelope are still friendly.
