Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 4 Introduces Four New Villains With Rinnegan

The latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex reveals that Code is not the main threat of the shonen manga series.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the second part of Boruto manga series by Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto and artist Mikio Ikemoto, is back with the release of its fourth chapter, titled The Awakening, and it continues the story that takes place after the three-year timeskip. The latest chapter surprised fans with the introduction of the four new villains, and they all have the Rinnegan eyes!

When Boruto Uzumaki returned after the timeskip, he made it clear that he's after the Ten-Tails, the Tailed Beast incarnation of the God Tree previously culivated by Kaguya Otsutsuki and Isshiki Otsutsuki. The true son of Naruto (not Kawaki!) had seen the horrors of the Ten-Tails and knew what would happen if it gets unleashed. Despite Code's refusal to help Boruto find the Ten-Tails, Boruto was able to hit Code with his new Rasengan Uzuhiko jujutsu, causing a permanent rotation effect inside Code's body, and when Code escapes to the location of the Ten-Tails, thanks to the surveillance toad hiding on Code's nape.

In the fourth chapter, now that Boruto knows the location of the Ten-Tails, the heroic vigilante uses his Flying Raijin Jutsu to teleport away from Kawaki and the rest of Konoha. But the chapter reveals that Code is not the biggest threat as four new villains with Rinnegan make their debut, and one of them turns out to be a Jubi clone of someone familiar.

Who are the new villains in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex?

When Boruto arrives to the hideout of the Ten-Tails, he and Code are surprised to find out that the powerful beast is gone, and the toad tells Boruto that it's unlikely that Code moved the Ten-Tails since the villain didn't make any suspicious movements. The first of the four villains that appears is a Jubi clone of Bug as it was revealed that Bug was devoured by a miniature divine tree created with the chakra of the Ten-Tails. For those who don't remember, Bug is the old guy and Code's assistant from the Kara hideout where Ada and Daemon were first introduced. He's revealed to have the Rinnegan, which is characterized by concentric circles covering the eyeballs.

The second new villain appears to be a clone of Isshiki, but it's unclear how this happened since the Ten-Tails would need some sort of DNA to clone him in the first place. Then, there's a woman who appears to be a clone of Moegi, since she looks like her and she uses the same Earth Style Jutsu as her.

The last and the most surprising of the villainous quartet is the Jubi clone of Sasuke. When he shows up in the chapter, Boruto doesn't look surprised and we later find out why: At the final panel of Chapter 4, after Boruto teleported away from the four villains, it's revealed that Sasuke has been devoured by miniature divine tree, which confirms that the Jubi clone is a copy of him. So, we know that Sasuke is alive but unconscious and sealed. It's unclear how that happened to one of the most powerful characters in the series, but we'll find likely find out in a future chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex soon.

Fans of Kishimoto's popular shonen franchise already know how powerful the Rinnegan eye in, and for them to simply wield it without any repercussions would mean that they are a major threat to Konoha and the rest of the ninja world.
