Warning: This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 10.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 10, titled Kernel, was finally released on Monday, showing the continuation of Himawari Uzumaki's conversation with the Nine-Tailed Beast, Kurama, as she's being chased by the Ten Tails-powered villains, Jura and Hidari. The latest chapter also featured a clash between Sarada Uchiha and Hidari, a sentient God Tree produced by Code's Ten-Tails after one of his Claw Grimes devoured Sasuke Uchiha and transformed into a tree.

The tenth chapter kicked off where last month's chapter left off, with Jura and Hidari chasing Boruto's sister through the Konoha village. However, Konohamaru and his team intercepted them, stopping them in their tracks and reporting it to the current Hokage, Shikimaru Nara.

Shikamaru then relayed the message to Kawaki and told him to stop chasing Boruto for now. Hearing that Himawari was in danger, he abandoned his quest for Boruto and ran towards her. Shikamaru then confirmed Boruto’s status, but he told him it was a minor issue.

After Konohamaru was baffled to learn that Hidari's chakra matched Sasuke's Sarada appears to fight Hidari, who noticed her and attacked with the electrifying Chidori. She was able to evade and attacked with her own, hurting him in the process. After noticing the electric jutsu was the same, she asked Hidari to reveal his identity.

The Truth About Himawari's Nine-Tailed Beast

The Sarada vs. Hidari scene was cut to show us the continuation of Himawari's conversation with the Nine-Tailed Beast, who introduced itself as "Kurama", whom she recognized as the bijuu who used to be inside her father, Naruto. When Himawari asked where they are, Kurama explained that what she's seeing was her conscious made visible. "You and I are a single body and soul," Kurama revealed.

After the chapter showed a scene of Jura chasing Shikadai's group with the unconscious Himawari, the chapter returned to Kurama explaining how its previous self co-existed inside Himawari's father and how its "flame of life was extinguished".

"However, death is not eternal for us, Biju," Kurama explained. "A kernel of us will sprout somewhere and we will manage to return to life."

Kurama went on to tell her that this was her destiny "brought into being by the Uzumaki and Hyuga blood that flows within you."

Later on in the chapter, after Himawari woke back up and after Jura's attack on the team's bird, Kurama told Himawari that whether she uses or quash its powers are all up to her. When Himwari asked how she's supposed to, Kurama told her that it can sense that her chakra has higher affinity to it than any other of her predecessors, "more than even Naruto's". The Nine-Tailed Beast wnet on to tell herself to get rid of any preconceived biases and to believe in herself first.

She tried to attack Himawari with a kick but Jura just tossed her side. Inojin Yamanaka unleashed a spirit dog to attack Jura but the powerful villain was starting to devour Himawari. However, Inojin went on to try to defend her, but his attempt to stop Jura failed as the villain conjured a tree trunk to stab him, and Inojin was clearly hurt as he's seen spitting blood.

Himawari looked devastated to see what appears to be Inojin's death, and this triggered her to unleash the power of the Nine-Tiled Beast inside her, and with her surprising power, she's able to break away free from Jura's clutches. Her dark hair resembled the tails of Kurama, rising with her newly-discovered power. Kurama laughed and said that she "totally snapped". And the chapter concluded with a panel revealing her powerful new form, with the eyes, whiskers, and fans that resemble the Nine-Tailed Beast.

We can't wait to see how Himawari will use the Nine-Tailed Beast's power to fight Jura in the next chapter. This will be the first time we see Boruto's little sister in action. Instead of being on just the sidelines, Himawari has now become one of the most important characters in the manga's storyline. Now that the truth about Himawari's Nine-Tailed Beast powers were revealed, now we know why Daemon sensed something different within her when he met her.
