In a few days, Seishiro Nagi and Reo Mikage will finally return after the shocking finale of Blue Lock Season 1. But before the second season begins, they will be first seen on the big screen in the upcoming Blue Lock the Movie -Episode Nagi-, which centers on Nagi's life before he joins Blue Lock. As the anime movie prepares for its big release, a new teaser has been revealed, showing the genius forward’s awakening.
You can see the preview below:
The Blue Lock the Movie -Episode Nagi- trailer begins with Nagi wondering about life, asking, “Why does everyone try so hard?” as he looks at his classmates. Feeling hopeless, he believes having dreams for the future and everyday life is “a hassle” when Mikage Reo suddenly appears. With Reo’s help, Nagi’s life has started to change, resulting in his awakening.
Reo can be seen dragging Nagi’s body on the soccer field, but the latter stays nonchalant. Despite that, he develops a talent for soccer and joins Blue Lock with Reo. He also gets inspiration from the strongest rivals, Kiyotaka Seichi and Horaku Mawari, as they see them play against each other. The preview also shows the fight between Kiyotaka and Team Z, making Nagi think that it’s the “passion of those who fight seriously.”
As he meets his biggest rival, Nagi realizes that “changing can be so exciting.” From there, his ego starts to develop as he aims to be the greatest soccer player.
Alternatively, the anime movie has also released scene cuts from Blue Lock the Movie -Episode Nagi-. The images feature Reo carrying Nagi on his back after practicing soccer. “It’s too much of a hassle to even walk,” he complains. They also show Tsurugi Zantetsu as he’s seriously playing and Nagi’s reawakening as he takes a shot on his own.
