The next season of Black Mirror is getting ready to start production, and six months after it was confirmed that the Charlie Brooker-created sci-fi anthology series would be returning for Season 7 in 2025, Netflix has announced the star-studded cast for the upcoming episodes. Among the cast members of Black Mirror Season 7 are recent Emmy winner Awkwafina (Quiz Lady), two-time Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers and Cinderella Man), Harriet Walter (Succession and Ted Lasso), Issa Rae (Insecure), plus six returning actors for the long-awaited USS.Calliister sequel.
The Star Trek-inspired episode released in 2017 won four of the seven Emmy Awards it was nominated for: Best TV Movie, Best Picture Editing, Best Writing (Charlie Brooker and William Bridges), and Best Sound Editing.USS Callister's Emmy-nominated lead actor Jesse Plemons, who played Robert Daly, is not set to return, but we can expect the half-dozen cast members to reprise their roles: Milanka Brooks as Elena Tulaska, Billy Magnussen as Valdack, Paul G. Raymond as Kabir Dudani, Cristin Milioti as Nanette Cole, and Jimmi Simpson as James Walton.
The cast was announced in a new video shared by Netflix that features a vintage computer screen with the caption, "TCKR_Confidential_NotForDistribution.mp4." The teaser featured a bunch of Easter Eggs for fans to look into, starting out by saying "An error has occurred," and telling viewers to "Press any key to continue."
The video then starts to reboot before revealing all the new actors joining Black Mirror Season 7, with cryptic quotes mentioned, including: "Lonely old place isn't it?", "Oh dear—is the entire internet wrong?" "Who drank my almond milk?" and "I'll be yours forever more."
