After almost two years of waiting, Baki Hanma Season 2 will finally arrive on Netflix. However, before fans can see the whole of the series’ final season, it will be split into two parts, hyping up the much-awaited battle between Baki and his father, Yujiro Hanma, even more.
Baki Hanma is based on the manga with the same title by Keisuke Itagaki and is a sequel to the anime Baki. In Baki Hanma Season 2, fans will again see Baki and his allies go against a prehistoric threat before the protagonist finally faces his father.

Baki Hanma Season 2 Plot
Baki Hanman Season 2 will be divided into two parts, and the first part will be called The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga. So, who is Pickle?
Pickle is the new enemy Baki must face, as seen in the first season’s final episode. He’s a primitive guy from the Jurassic or Cretaceous era, though he doesn’t look like a Neanderthal or Cro-Magnon.
Pickle is eight feet tall and much bigger than Olivia Biscuit, the self-proclaimed America’s strongest man. He met Baki after being discovered “perfectly preserved” in a saline rock formation; thus, the name.
Pickle War Saga is the third arc of the third manga series, from Chapter 70 to Chapter 185. Here, he’s taken to Mitsunari Tokugawa after being discovered by the scientists.
Pickle will face Baki in the arena in Baki Hanma Season 2. Though Baki is threatened to fight against a huge enemy like Pickle, he knows he has to work hard to win this battle.
In the second part, The Father vs. Son Saga, Baki will go head-to-head against his father—the ultimate showdown many want to witness. Though manga readers already know what happens here, anime-only fans can expect it to be epic.

What Happened in Baki Hanma Season 1 Finale?
In Baki Hanma Season 1 finale, Baki finally fulfilled his wish to face Olivia in a one-on-one battle. The two showed their incredible fighting skills.
Later, Baki and Olivia started to trade blows until the last man left standing. Fortunately, it was Baki. After successfully defeating Olivia, he earned himself a pardon and could continue his journey to bring his father down.
Baki Hanma Season 2 Trailer
The Baki Hanma Season 2 trailer mostly focuses on the first part, The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga. It tells Pickle’s history, narrated probably by Dr. Albert Payne, from how he gets frozen to giving a good look at his huge appearance. From there, a fight between the two begins.

Baki Hanma Season 2 Release Date
After a long wait, fans will finally see Baki Hanma Season 2. The first part, The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga, will release on July 26 on Netflix, followed by the second part, The Father vs. Son Saga, on August 24. As the series nears its end, expect the most brutal fights as Baki battles it all out with the caveman and his father.
