The conclusion of Attack on Titan has left fans with plenty to discuss, and even after several days, the series continues to generate buzz. The finale, with its shocking deaths and plot twists, remains a topic of conversation, and a recent special has unveiled a hidden cameo within the show.

NHK recently released behind-the-scenes specials related to Attack on Titan, offering fans a deeper look at the making of the final episode. One of the revelations concerned the heart-wrenching baby scene in the series finale.

In the scene, a Marleyan mother desperately attempts to save her baby's life before being pushed off a cliff during the Rumbling. Her courageous act inspires others to pass the baby along to the crowd in the hope of saving the child's life, even as their own lives are forfeit. Throughout the ordeal, the baby is crying, and it was revealed that these cries were performed by an actual baby—specifically, the child of voice actor Yuki Kaji.

Yuki Kaji is a prominent figure in the world of anime, best known for his role as Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan. In addition to that, he seems to be eager for his growing family to join the entertainment industry.

When the production team needed the sounds of a crying baby for the final episode, Kaji sent over an audio file featuring his child's cries. These sounds are included in Attack on Titan's concluding episode, marking the child's first voice-acting credit.

It's a fitting development for the baby, as their mother is a prolific actress as well. Kaji and Ayana Taketatsu announced their marriage in June 2023, followed by the birth of their first child in November 2022. Now, their child has already taken the first steps into the world of voice acting.
