There is little doubt that the two-episode premiere of Ahsoka had a lot of intense moments for the hero and her friends. In the premiere episode of the Star Wars series, viewers witness an intense lightsaber showdown between Sabine Wren and the new antagonist Shin Hati. In addition to that, the scene marked a major moment for the Star Wars Universe.

The lightsaber duel between Sabine and Shin may have been fun to watch but it meant a huge problem for the former. It has been some time since Sabine received training from Ahsoka Tano, and she lacks Force sensitivity, putting her at a disadvantage. In the fierce clash, Shin gains the upper hand, ultimately thrusting her lightsaber through Sabine's abdomen. Fortunately, Ahsoka arrives just in time to provide critical medical assistance, saving Sabine's life.

It was a lopsided fight but the lightsaber duel was still important. What elevates this already epic battle is its historical significance. This marks the first instance in live-action Star Wars where two women engage in a lightsaber duel, breaking new ground and highlighting the evolving representation and empowerment of female characters in the beloved franchise.

The fight was certainly memorable and although it wasn't the best, we will be seeing Sabine take on Shin again in the future. With that in mind, we can't wait for the next episode of Ahsoka.
