Ahsoka Episode 5 has finally shed light on the whereabouts of Carrie Fisher's iconic character Senator Leia Organa within the expansive MandoVerse. Interestingly, it was confirmed that the feisty senator was responsible for Hera Syndulla getting the chance to join her friends in the search for Grand Admiral Thrawn in the Star Wars series.
The latest episode of Ahsoka skillfully filled viewers in on the status and activities of various characters since their last appearances on screen. It was confirmed that Hera and her squadron landed on Seatos in an effort to find Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren. However, they only found Huyang who confirmed that both had disappeared while trying to prevent Morgan Elsbeth from obtaining the coordinates to Thrawn's whereabouts.

While Hera and Huyang pondered their next course of action, Captain Carson Teva approached Hera and informed her that they were "overdue at HQ." Teva then revealed a heartwarming twist: it is Leia Organa, who is still serving as a senator in the New Republic at this point in time, who was covering for them. Leia's selfless act allowed Hera to continue her search for Ahsoka and Sabine, demonstrating the enduring dedication to their cause and the bond between these beloved characters in the Star Wars universe.
We're not exactly surprised that Leia would get involved in such an operation considering that she has repeatedly proven that she is willing to risk her own skin for the greater good. Her deed certainly paid off as Hera got enough time to find Ahsoka and eventually helped the former Jedi hitch a ride with the purrgil in the search for Sabine.
But will we hear more from Leia in the upcoming episodes of Ahsoka? For now, it is unclear if the senator will continue to be involved but we wouldn't be surprised if there will be another important reference in the next few weeks. In the meantime, Ahsoka Episode 6 is already set to premiere on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
