Netflix is set to release one of the most anticipated K-dramas this year, A Time Called You. Based on the Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day, which aired on CTV from November 2019 to February 2020, the series promises a unique storyline with the most talented cast.
Netflix Korea first announced the Korean adaptation of A Time Called You in a post on Instagram in March 2022, along with the main three cast members who will make the viewers fall in love. From its plot to release date and more, here’s everything you need to know.
A Time Called You Plot: What is this K-drama about?
Though Han Joon-Hee’s boyfriend, Ku Yeon-Joon, died a year ago, she’s still having a hard time moving on and missing her Yeon-Joon a lot. One day, she manages to travel back in time and finds herself as a high school student named Kwon Min-Joo from 1998.
There, she meets a fellow high school student Nam Shi-Heon, who looks exactly like her late boyfriend. As someone friendly and physically attractive, it’s no surprise that many female students like Shi-Heon. Meanwhile, Shi-Heon’s best friend, Jung In-Kyu, has a crush on Min-Joo.

A Time Called You Cast
Netflix announced that Jeon Yeo-Been will lead A Time Called You in a dual role as Han Joon-Hee and Kwon Min-Joo. She will be joined by Ahn Hyo Seop, who will also play two characters, as Ku Yeon-Joon and Nam Shi-Heon, and Kang Hoon as Jung In-Kyu. Lee Min-Goo will also join the series, though his character isn’t announced yet.
A Time Called You Production Status
A Time Called You started its production in April 2022. On its latest update on its IMDb Pro page on July 20, 2023, it noted that it’s now in post-production.

On June 6, Netflix released a preview still for A Time Called You, featuring Jeon Yeo-Been and Ahn Hyo-Seop hugging while looking at each other. The couple has sweet smiles on their faces, hinting at the romantic love story that fans are about to see.
