From one K-drama to another, Netflix is about to release a new K-drama series, and this looks different from the rest. Titled A Killer Paradox, it will reveal the story of a man who murders a serial killer and a police detective hunting him. As the dark comedy thriller already intrigues the viewers, Netflix has released its teaser featuring the cat-and-mouse chase between the two protagonists, Choi Woon-shik and Son Suk-ku.
A Killer Paradox preview begins by showing the ordinary life of Woo-shik, who plays the role of Lee Tang, a college student who’s about to discover his extraordinary ability after accidentally killing a serial killer. After finishing his work at the grocery store, he’s already on his way home when a man suddenly attacks him. To defend himself, he gets the hammer from his bag and hits the man, resulting in the latter’s death and a major change in Lee Tang’s life.
The scene then shifts to Son Suk-ku’s character Detective Jang Nan-gam, who has been following Lee Tang around. He sees the death of the mysterious man and visits the store where Lee Tang works. As he investigates more deaths, he finally meets Lee Tang, and their first meeting ends up in a staring battle. From there, the cat-and-mouse game begins between the two.
The streamer has also released the official character posters for Woo-shik and Suk-ku. The visuals show the innocence of Lee Tang’s face, as no one may suspect that he has killed someone, and Nan-gam's looks as he appears determined to find the killer behind the mysterious deaths.
