Horror director Mike Flanagan has officially unveiled the complete cast for his forthcoming adaptation of Stephen King's short story The Life of Chuck featuring nine familiar faces from The Fall of the House of Usher. The film will tell the story of Chuck Krantz, beginning with his death and then delving into his childhood in a haunted house. This unique narrative approach adds a layer of intrigue to the cinematic adaptation.
Mike Flanagan recently revealed the cast for The Life of Chuck which includes a mix of actors both new to his work and those he has collaborated with before (via X). Among the newcomers to his projects are Taylor Gordon, Mia Sara, Benjamin Pajak, Trinity Bliss, Matthew Lillard, Q'orianka Kilcher, Annalise Basso, Antonio Raul Corbo, Harvey Guillén, and David Dastmalchian, bringing fresh talent to the mix. He has also welcomed back familiar faces from The Fall of the House of Usher including his wife Kate Siegel, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Matt Biedel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Michael Trucco, and Molly Quinn.
The cast will also feature actors who previously worked with Flanagan including Saidah Arrika Ekulona and Violet McGrath from The Haunting of Hill House and Heather Langenkamp from The Midnight Club.
It has already been confirmed that The Life of Chuck will be led by Marvel actors Loki Season 2 star Tom Hiddleston as Charles "Chuck" Krantz, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Karen Gillan of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. They will be joined by Jacob Tremblay, who previously appeared in another Stephen King adaptation Doctor Sleep. Additionally, Mark Hamill, who recently appeared in The Fall of the House of Usher, will play an important role in the project. He also brings the official count of Usher alums to nine.
